Who are we?

Ashtead Players have a long and successful history with a distinguished artistic record equalled by few dramatic societies.  Established for over 70 years, we have successfully presented a whole range of popular theatrical productions.

We welcome anyone who wishes to join our society and believe in equal opportunities for all our members who are of all ages, from all walks of life and get together for social and fund raising activities too.

What do we do?

Provide popular theatre and entertainment to the local community and beyond. We also believe in contributing to the community that supports us, and have staged charity performances to help rebuild Ashtead Cricket Club and extend St Giles’ Infant School.

Ashtead Players stage two productions per year at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall. Rehearsals are on  Tuesdays and Thursdays, and are held in Ashtead.

2018 - ‘Out of Order’ - “We went to see 'Out of Order' last night and really enjoyed it!  Very funny and certainly a

good nights entertainment.”

“Really must congratulate you on such a fantastic evening

last night. We both really enjoyed it and felt it was at

least equal to the one we saw at the Arnaud  which

Ray Cooney attended . Praise indeed. Great set on that

wide stage. The pace, which is so important to a farce

 was maintained throughout.”

2017 - ‘Deadly Nightcap’  -  “I enjoyed Deadly Nightcap

last night. It was extremely professionally performed and

was excellent. No need to go to London Theatres when

you have  Ashtead Players on your door step!”
